Choosing a blogging platform

I used WordPress. It was good. but needed occasional updates and faced attacks once in a while.

After checking Tumblr and Posterous I moved to Posterous. It was awesome. Twitter bought it and shut it down. So much win for a great product!

So I found OctoPress. Looks so cool. But I didn’t feel like much blogging due to initial setup I had to do.

Now its the time that I’m looking for a new blogging platform. My needs are custom domain support, zero time and cost for running and maintenance, easy blogging interface. As far as I can see Tumblr is the only one remaining.

Tumblr is now owned by Yahoo. I hope they will not shut it down. I’ll stick to that for now.
